Theresa + Matze: Married! (St. Louis History Museum Wedding)

July 7th, 2011-h
Theresa contacted me on June 15th, 2011, about her wedding on June 24th, 2011. I had to read the email a few times to understand. Unfortunately for them, their wedding photographer had a family emergency and was unable to shoot their wedding, which was in just over a week. As if that wasn't difficult enough for them, they had to find a new photographer while getting ready to travel from their home in Germany back to the US. Needless to say, Theresa was probably pretty stressed. Now...May/June are 2 of my busiest months of the year, and I was already inundated with massive amounts of editing to get through. But...I couldn't let this couple go without a photographer for their wedding! So, a few days later I met them for a cup of coffee and they booked me on the spot!

These two currently live in Germany, where Matze is from. He loved the idea of shots by the Arch. I didn't realize it was "Marine Week"...so we had to work around a ZILLION people and cars for all our shots that day :)

Matze hooked his groomsmen up with fun props :)

Megan joined me for a few hours while everyone was getting ready to help relieve the stress of a last minute wedding, and took this beautiful bouquet shot...
I thought Theresa handled everything uber-gracefully.

Ring on a Coach bag...I love Coach purses :)

Quick shot with some random marines walking by...

Love Theresa's eyes in the shot below...

Megan got some fun shots of me hard at work. I promise I wasn't using my flash...just couldn't fit it in my ShootSac that day :)

Matze and Theresa's cutie-pie son, Colin.

Posted this petal toss photo on facebook last week...

I love these next 2 shots together!

The Grand Basin is such a classically beautiful place for wedding photos. But are any other photographers tired of photo-shopping out the cranes in the background? :)

The reception was held at the History Museum....love it here...

Matze had his touch of Germany in place...

Including this crazy game where you have to try to hammer a nail into this log...

The End!

I am so happy I was able to help you guys out! I hope you enjoy all your images!
