TJ and Denise are MARRIED, with a good story to tell...

This weekend I shot the wedding of Denise and TJ in Springfield, IL. They found me because I 2nd shot the wedding of one of Denise's bridesmaid's Megan.

Over the past few months I've gotten to "know" TJ and Denise through their facebook pages. I know that Denise invited Barack Obama to their wedding, and that Tj leaves really funny messages for Denise.

The day of the wedding, I learned that when Denise first met TJ at work, she didn't like him. In fact, she attempted to get him fired. He apparently won her over though...

Anyway, the Schlouski's had a fantastic wedding day. Most of the day went off without a hitch...that is until power went out in downtown Springfield for 2 hours of their reception. This couple took that little setback like champs. They kept their guests hydrated and the owner of Cafe Moxo did everything he could to get his gourmet meal prepared. They cut their cake in the dark and a few of their guests made a special trip to buy candles to light the room. Of course, the lights came back on about 15 minutes before I was to make my exit :) They definitely had a reception to remember!

On with the photos...starting with the fabulous couple...

I loved Denise's bouquet, so it deserves 2 photos.

Photo on the left is mine, on the right is Brigid's, just a few moments later.

HELLLO blue skies!

I think Denise looks regal and important here...

In the past year I've 2nd shot with my friend Crista of Studio 7 in Springfield, which gave me some of my ideas for locations and poses!

I love how Denise's pink flats show here...

A few quick shots of the ceremony, which took place at Cafe Moxo.

Running across the street for a few more photos before the reception...and before the power goes out...

I think Brigid may have been singing some "Flo-Rida" to get Denise to laugh here :)

When the lights came back on, I was able to grab some shots of the YUMMY food at Cafe Moxo. Did I say YUM?

And ending with just a few more of the details from the day!

Thanks to Brigid for being my 2nd shooter and comic relief for the day!
