Part 1: Heather and Chris' Wedding

So this was a big weekend for me as I shot two weddings, which any wedding photographer knows can be exhausting! Luckily, Sunday I was just the 2nd shooter, which is a little less stressful.

But the following images are from my wedding on Saturday, which I shot sans assistant or 2nd shooter! It definitely keeps you on your toes...you don't want to miss that special shot!

I alway have a difficult time deciding how I want to organize my blog posts. Heather and Chris had a unique wedding and I really wanted to showcase their location because it comes with special history. The ceremony took place in Chautauqua, IL, which is a summer resort community along the river. Heather's grandfather, who recently passed away, had long been a part of this community...and her parents also own a cottage here! Heather spent many summer days here...it makes me think of the movie Dirty Dancing, lol.

The church was small and simple...

There were well wishes for Heather and Chris throughout the community...
Heather's great-grandfather built this waterfall...

Jersey Ave...where her parents' summer cottage sits.

I just loved the look of her dress against the walls of the cottage. Heather spent some of her summer nights in the white-washed bedroom...

The flowers provided a gorgeous pop of orange, and the charms another simple detail.

Here she is almost ready...

And one last set for today...the happy couple all dressed up!
I will have more to show tomorrow!

They look beautiful!! The colors are so vibrant and you captured Chautauqua perfectly. It is a nice tie in with our grandpa's cottage too. Happy and sad at the same time. It was the first time I have been there since his passing...Beth you did such a great job!

Beth, these pics are amazing! It means so much to us that they were taken in Chautauqua. We can't wait to see the rest!
